BFW

A few years ago I got approached by Brighton Fashion week asking me to showcase my work on the catwalk. This was such a huge honour for me but unfortunately I couldn’t get together the fee in time and had to decline. It’s one thing regarding my business I’ve always regretted. Since then I have shown my work at Winchester Fashion Week, Southsea Fashion week and got asked to take part in SCFW but Brighton’s still always been in the back of my mind. Earlier this month I got asked to take part in a curated Fashion Market as part of the fashion weeks schedule and I jumped at the chance to get back on their radar… I wouldn’t be missing this second opportunity to build bridges with an event I so much want to be a part of. So on Saturday 11 October you will find me selling my wares as one of the 40 handpicked artists and makers. I will be selling artwork, jewellery and lingerie as well as advertising my lingerie service and taking orders. I’ve posted the info as an event so if you’re able to come down and say hi, it would be lovely to see some familiar faces ( I have even reinvented a Mia Mai iconic print for the occasion! ūüôā...

Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day

So I have been working with the Historic Dockyard and the NMRN (national museum of the royal navy) for a little while now on various projects and it’s such and inspiring place to be. I was asked if I’d like to get involved with a Military Fashion Parade that they are organising as part of their Armed Forces Day events. The parade will highlight how military fashion has inspired¬†high-street¬†fashion through the¬†years, from¬†aviators¬†to the humble T-shirts,from Duffle coats to nautical stripes! I have been asked to provide the ‘pin up’ element… A pin up girl was traditional plastered along the sides of planes and a incredibly beautiful local Pin Up model has kindly offered to model for me… Ally Holiday¬†is a¬†¬†Pinup model, cosplayer and proud UK Bombshell and I’m so excited to see her in my lingerie/work with her. I’m planning on using some garments from my new collection and possibly designing something new too (if I get time… there never seems to be enough hours in the day) I will also be showing a garment from my graduate collection… a dress inspired by 1940’s lingerie and traditional naval tattoos… It should be a really fun event and I’m sure Ally will steal the show in whatever we decide to put her in… She’s coming round in a minute and we’re going to try on some pieces and come up with a plan…. Getting the chance to work with other creative and inspirational people is one of the things I really love about my career! I am also having a stall at the event so come down and say hi and pick up a print too whilst you’re at it!
