Mia Mai moves into new studio @ Making Space, March 2009, Havant, Hampshire
Mia Mai is really excited to be moving into a new studio based in Havant. Making Space hosts a 7 studios for professional artists and makers and Mia Mai has been awarded a years rent curtosy of a legacy fund and will be joining 2 silver jewellers, 2 ceramicists, a glass artist and a film production company.

Mia Mai will be joining Southsea’s ecclectic mix shops and sellers for this indoor market in Albert Roads best pub! On sale will be the new ‘fragile heart’ jewellery as well as other charming offerings from Mia Mai’s Jewellery Box, and fashion garments from the vintage collections ‘HoneySuckle Nymph’ and ‘Atrum Amor’.

Dirty Peach & The Hidden Wardrobe hosted the sample sale of the season inviting local fashionistas to come along for a mash-up of clothe’s, music and beauty… An all day event featuring independent designers showcasing their new Autumn/Winter Collections with other local fashion talent. Mia Mai debuted the deliciously dark A/W 2008 Vintage Collection ‘AtrumAmor’.

Mia Mai was there selling not only the S/S 08 Vintage Collection but also jewellery from Mia Mai’s Jewellery Box.
Unsigned Style, 26th April 2008, Sixty Million Postcards, Bournemouth
Mia Mai took part in this charity fashion festival that aimed to combine unsigned talent from music and fashion whilst promoting Eco-fashion and lifestyle. The ‘HoneySuckleNymph’ collection was modelled on the catwalk to live music.
Strut Fashion Show, 13th April 2008, The Print Room, Bournemouth
Mia Mai headlined the Strut Fashion show, launching the beautiful Spring/Summer vintage collection, ‘HoneySuckleNymph’. Strut was a fashion show like never seen before, throwing out the catwalk and bringing fashion back down to earth. Set in the opulent Print Rooms, Strut showcased the latest collections from some of the South West’s hottest up-and-coming designers.
The Hidden Wardrobe Sample Sale, 11th February 2008, The Soul Cellars, Southampton
The Hidden Wardrobe launches in Southampton with a Sample Sale selling a variety of British and Foreign independent designer pieces including Mia Mai’s ‘BirdCaged Beauty’ & ‘Tattooed Doll’ collections. Mia Mai was also there selling pieces from its Jewellery Box.

Re-Phsych’d Fashion Show, 26th November 2007, Bliss Nightclub, Bournemouth
Mia Mai debuted its Autumn/Winter 2007 Vintage collection, ‘Tattooed Doll’ at this charity fashion show. Re-Phsych’d consisted of recycled and ethical fashion, promoting an Eco-friendly lifestyle! It showcased up and coming designers from the south-coast all helping to create a new look for ethical fashion, proving it doesn’t need to be dull and expensive!

Mia Mai set up shop and hosted a jewellery party at The Queens Head pub selling all the recent offerings from Mia Mai’s Jewellery Box.

Mia Mai spent a weekend trading at Camden’s famous lock market with plush toy company ‘Damn Dirty Ape’.
Peroxide Betty Style Event, 26th February 2007, Whiteley Shopping Village
Mia Mai co-organised the Peroxide Betty, 3 Day Style event, taking over and setting up shop in a central unit in Whiteley Village. Over the weekend Mia Mai launched its first customised vintage collection ‘BirdCaged Beauty’ and the jewellery range ‘Chained Trinkets & Love Hearts’.

Mia Mai unveiled its Spring/Summer 2006 collection, ‘Inked Silk’ at the Portsmouth University Graduate Fashion Show.
